What is the Difference Between Travertine and Marble?

- Marble: Limestone that has undergone metamorphism under high heat and pressure. It is known for its veined structure and smooth surface.
The Biggest Enemy of Natural Stone: Acids
All calcium-based natural stones are extremely sensitive to acidic substances. Lemon, orange juice, vinegar, cola, wine, and even some chemical detergents dissolve the polish on the stone's surface, causing dullness and ring marks (etching). Therefore:
- Always use stone, wood, or leather coasters when placing drinks on natural stone coffee tables.
- If an acidic liquid spills, immediately blot it with a dry cloth without rubbing.
How Should Natural Stone Coffee Tables Be Cleaned?
Only lukewarm water and pH-neutral (acid-free) natural soap should be used for cleaning. Abrasive sponges, bleach, descalers, or harsh chemicals like window cleaner should never come into contact with the stone. After wiping, the stone should be dried with a dry microfiber cloth to prevent water from pooling on its surface.
